HIGH VOLTAGE YOUTH CAMP is a 501(c) (3) corporation that provides education and recreation programs for economically disadvantaged youth. We are dedicated to helping youth realize their potential, build character, and function effectively as contributing members of society. High Voltage also works to build community collaborations, and partnerships with organizations that serve youth.

Tribute Through Service Project
Thanks to all of our Tribute Through Service Project volunteers. It is through your volunteer efforts we were able to show our appreciation for the First Responders in the Greater New Orleans Area for their service during Hurricane Katrina and September 11 events.

High Voltage to offer Girls Circle
The Girls Circle model is a research-based, best practice model developed by the Girls Circle Association (www.girlscircle.com) It is a weekly structured support group for girls from 9-18 years to encourage the development of strength, courage, confidence, honesty, and communication skills for girls.
LEAP Information
The Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) is a test that measures students’ knowledge and skills in English Language Arts, math, science and social studies to see how well they have mastered the state’s standards. For students in 4th and 8th grades, the English Language Arts and Math portions of the LEAP test are promotional tests. To pass their grade, students must achieve a combination of at least Approaching Basic on one part and at leastBasic on the other.

Get on Board! (Non-Profit Board Training Program)
more information- Are you interested in developing leadership skills while learning to govern one of our area's nonprofit agencies? Many nonprofit organizations working hard to improve our region are facing enormous challenges and are seeking energetic, talented and qualified leaders to help them achieve their mission.
The Junior League of New Orleans is pleased to offer Get on Board!, a five-week course that focuses on training volunteers for nonprofit board leadership. The Spring Session will be held February 29th, March 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.
